Max Goncharov (Texas A&M) Photon Analysis Techniques at CDF and Latest Results -- The upcoming start of LHC program at CERN promises spectacular signatures from physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). Many of these signatures could lead to interesting events with photons in the final state, including Light SM Higgs, Extra Dimensions, GMSB SUSY, Invisible Higgs, Hidden Valley. A photon is a simple object to reconstruct, but physics with photons is hard because all other particles (jets, electrons, muons, taus, cosmic and beam muons) produce signatures in the detector that can be easily mistaken as photons. I will show techniques that we use at CDF to identify and reconstruct photons. I will also show the most recent and interesting results from CDF with photons in the final state.
