Linux stuff
I have switched back to being a Mac user, but for a few years I was a Linux user, running first Red Hat and then Mandrake on my old Compaq. Now that Mac OSX is UNIX-based, I think I'll stay with this platform. But I still support Linux in my heart :) (well and at work of course - physicists always use Linux - acutally I'm using a PowerBook at work these days, but I still do most of the work on Red Hat Scientific Linux workstations thru SSH).
Below are some Linux links I believe to be particualrly useful:
linux.org - everything you need to know about LINUX
Mandrake - I used to run this a few years ago

UPDATE: Mandrake has merged with Conectiva and is now known as Mandriva ... I think it's still a great distro, and i seems to be building up momentum, but I have not personally used it since the merger. Anyway, take a look at other distros, such as Ubuntu Linux, as well. Check out Distrowatch for a complete list of Linux distributions with ratings and reviews.

Here are a couple of Linux screenshots from my (ex) computer at work. You can see XFCE4 desktop environment with ROX-Filer file manager. Click to see full size.
